You’re Covered — Let’s Help You Use It

Understanding Your Insurance: Vision vs. Medical

Insurance can be confusing, but your eye care shouldn’t be. We’re here to make it simple.

Whether you need a routine vision exam or treatment for an eye health concern, we’ll help you use the right plan — and make sure you get the care you need.

What’s the Difference Between Vision and Medical Insurance

Vision Insurance Medical Insurance
Covers routine eye exams Covers eye health problems
Helps with glasses or contact lens costs Covers conditions like diabetes, dry eye, or infections
Often used once per year Used as needed for medical treatment or diagnosis

Uses of Vision Insurance

Vision plans cover routine eye exams, which check your prescription and overall eye health. They also typically help with the cost of:

  • Glasses and lenses
  • Contact lens fittings
  • Optional lens upgrades (anti-reflective, Transitions, etc.)

    👁️ Dry eye disease
👁️ Eye infections, injuries, styes, or red eye
